It's come to our attention that the Scottsdale Public Library, Arabian Branch has been listed in the top 10 most haunted libraries in America! SPI has investigated this library a couple of times, and we've found some incredible evidence there. Check out the link below to the story, and check out some of the evidence that we have posted on our website.

Sonoran Paranormal Investigations * (noun)* A scientifically based paranormal investigations group located in, and covering all of, the state of Arizona with members from Flagstaff to Phoenix to Tucson.
Sonoran Paranormal Investigations (SPI) is a paranormal investigation group located in and serving the state of Arizona. We have members from Flagstaff to Tucson and we are able to meet the needs of families and businesses throughout the entire state. Our dedicated group of investigators are willing and able to travel from one corner of the state to another - all in the name of science!
Starting with just four people, the founders of SPI originally set out to research and study haunting based paranormal claims in order to learn, help people, and contribute to the scientific community.
This unique approach to professional investigation has set SPI apart among investigative groups. We have been called in by homeowners and business owners but also by government agencies including historic sites, local and state government (including police), and the United States Army.
We are not exterminators, that is, we will never promise to rid a client of ghosts however we do aim to arm our clients with information and help them to understand what is happening in their homes or businesses and we can put our clients in touch with other professionals who can solve the problem, whether it may be an electrician, a plumber, a contractor or even a religious person to perform a cleansing or blessing.
Since SPI formed we have grown into a large statewide organization with three coverage zones. Our members range the entire state of Arizona. We have members in Sierra Vista, Benson, Tucson, Casa Grande, Queen Creek, Phoenix, Show Low, Verde Valley, Mesa, Prescott, and many others.
In 2007, we were proud to become TAPS Family Members. Becoming involved with the TAPS Family not only ensures that we are doing the right thing - but it keeps us doing the right thing. The TAPS Family affiliation provides SPI and our clientele with access to some of the best and brightest in the field and ensures that we have access to the latest information and knowledge of the latest technology available.
SPI is also very proud to represent Arizona in the International Paranormal Investigators (IPI) organization allowing us to collaborate and share information and data to further the science of paranormal research. This affiliation also gives us access to even more of the best and brightest in the world and proves to be an outstanding resource for information and consultation.
The methodology used by SPI centers on disproving rather than proving a haunting. This approach, popularized in the public mind through TAPS and Ghost Hunters, allows us to approach reports with a firmly grounded attitude that allows the team to collect concrete information and data that can be used to either support or refute claims and personal experiences at a site. This information also fits into our long term studies into the nature of paranormal activity whereby we look not just for "evidence" but also the base causes of phenomena and the nature of "ghosts".
Our members range from very skeptical to full believers but our approach is toward the skeptical. Skeptical means, we ask questions and continue to ask questions until we have found a reasonable answer or exhausted all possible avenues. We do not stretch to find an unlikely answer, but we do explore any possible explanation before we begin to explore paranormal causes for phenomena.
Our members not only range in belief systems but we also range in experience from medical professionals, photographers, artists, engineers, computer specialists, and corporate business managers. We are able to bring our varied skills and knowledge from our professional lives and apply them to the field of paranormal research.
Sonoran Paranormal Investigations, Inc. dedicates itself not only to individual investigations of claims of paranormal activity but is also among the handful of groups worldwide utilizing data obtained during investigations as part of long term studies. SPI believes that only through studying phenomena over long periods will it be possible to eventually craft legitimate theories of haunting phenomena. After each investigation all results from experiments and environmental readings are retained and analyzed whether regarded as "paranormal" or natural. Over time this data analysis will enable SPI to form sound theories and explanations for haunting phenomena as well as show trends influencing paranormal activity or perceptions of paranormal activity. Likewise, such in depth analysis will allow SPI to show existing ideas on paranormal activity, generally handed down as anecdotes, as either valid or invalid based upon true scientific inquiry and stringent analysis.
Unlike many groups in the field, SPI does not adhere to an "investigate and forget" mindset, but rather an investigate, correlate, analyze, and theorize mindset making SPI true members of the scientific community rather than hobbyists.
